TO LAZY TO MAKE HAM ROLL-UPS DIP FOR THE DETROIT REDWING’S HOCKEY PLAY-OFF GAME TONIGHT

The inspiration and title for this recipe comes from a book published by the employees of Bonner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland that is titled “Bonner’s Flavorful Favorites.” Bonner’s is the largest Christmas store in the world and is located in Frankenmuth, Michigan’s Little Bavaria.

Daughter would make Ham Roll-Ups for her brother and he would have them eaten in less time than it took her to get the ingredients together let alone make them. This dip or spread has all the favor and none of the work. I made this for a Grand Valley State University tailgater in 2009 and it was a big hit.

TOO LAZY TO MAKE HAM ROLL-UPS
I love the title of this recipe. A tablespoon is 3 teaspoons, I used 1 ½ teaspoons of dry ranch dressing when I made the dip and it was more than enough for us. I also added some shredded Cheddar, putting it in the bottom of the bowl and sprinkling it over the top for color and favor.

12 oz. light cream cheese, softened
½ -1 T Hidden Valley Ranch Party Dip Mix, dry (I use 1 ½ t)
2 to 3 green onion with the green part, chopped (I use more)
1 c ham, chopped
Cheddar cheese, shredded, optional

In a medium sized bowl, mix softened cream cheese with dry dip mix. Gently fold in the green onions and ham. Roll into a ball and cover with shredded Cheddar cheese or put a layer of Cheddar cheese in the bottom of a small bowl. Then put in the cream cheese mixture and cover with more cheese.
