This is the soup that is comforting us this week. The Lake Effect snow machine has started up and the snow is piling up. Lake Effect happens when the wind blows across a big body of open water picking up moisture all the way across the water. When the moisture-laden air hits land, like here along the West Coast of Michigan, the air dumps out the moisture in the form of snow. It is a snowy, gray day. A great time for soup to comfort the body and Soul.
