GAME DAY CHIP DIPS--CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' CREAMY SALSA

I have been a Detroit Lions Football fan since the 1950's when my whole family would gather to cheer them on to victory.  For years now, victories have been few and far between so you need good food to get through the games.  Here are two very easy and yummy dips to enjoy at any time.

CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' CREAM SALSA
The cool creaminess of the cream cheese reduces the heat of the salsa so I use a hot salsa for this dip as I usually medium-hot for eating plain.

1 16oz. jar salsa
1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, mix together the cream cheese and salsa.  Add the salsa until the dip is the consistency you want.

Our Nephew has been California dreamin' for years, but has finally come home to the East Coast; bringing his two beautiful California girls with him. The family is very happy to have them closer.

You need a larger bowl to easily mix the dip, but this was made at the other cottage where it can be difficult to find the right sized bowl.

Mix the cream cheese until it is creamy or buy whipped cream cheese.

Add salsa and mix well.  Keep adding salsa until the dips is consistency you like.

Enjoy with fresh vegetables or tortilla chips.
