AWESOME IRISH SODA BREAD, AUTHENTIC IRISH SCONES, OLD-FASHIONED CORNED BEEF, CABBAGE, CARROTS AND POTATOES

St. Patrick's Day is coming.  I am repeating my recipes from last year as you may have missed them and they really are terrific.  I haven't found any recipes for soda bread or scones that are better than these are.  If you want to improve on the corned beef, you could simmer it in Irish beer instead of water.  My family used water as I don't think my Grandma would have eaten meat cooked in beer although she did believe a little whisky and honey was the best thing for a sore throat or a cough.
