BUSY DAY AT THE FEEDERS.
Finally, yesterday we had a hummingbird at its feeder. Usually they are here in middle of April before the lilacs bloom. Today we had our first oriole, he's about two weeks later than last year. He landed in the Catalpa tree growing through our deck by his feeder filled with grape jelly and a half of an orange and loudly proclaimed that he was here and the feeder was his. We always have a wide variety of woodpeckers coming in for the suet. Today a pair of Rose-breasted Grosbeaks stopped for some suet. Today and two other times I have seen an Eagle in our area. Twice it has flown over the cottage. What a sight!!!!!!!!!!!
