ENGLAND, SLOVAK REPUBLIC AND SWITERLAND-- CHRISTMAS TREES FROM MEIJER GARDENS

Here are three more trees from Holiday Traditions Around the World at Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Please remember to double-click on each picture to make it full screen size.

Christmas cards were first sent in 1843 in England are represented on the tree.

Lovely reds and gold adorn the English tree.  I like the gum drops strung with a bell on the end.  Pretty Christmas card.

I really liked this silver mistletoe.

I thought these gum drops strung with a bell on the end would be a great project to do with children before Christmas.

The corn husk figures were fantastic.

Beautiful handmade stars or snowflakes.

Horns, snowflakes and bells represent Switzerland.

Detail of the paintings on the horns.
