JULY'S BUCK MOON
According to the Farmer's Almanac, July's full moon is the Buck Moon as July is the time that the new anthers of buck deer are first seen pushing out of their foreheads. The anthers are coated with a soft velvety fur when they first emerge. Other names for July’s full moon are Full Thunder Moon or Hay Moon.
