DAIKON RADISH AND VIETNAMESE SANDWICHES

A Japanese Daikon Radish

Michigan Cottage Cook did a Post on 6/13/10 titled, "Do You Want To Spice Up Your Sandwich Life?  Try a Vietnamese Sub."

Since that time I have had people ask me what a Daikon radish is.  It is a big, white radish with a mild flavor.  Most large supermarkets carry them in the produce section.  In the Midwest, Meijers always has them.
