MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY vs THE OTHER GUYS

In football there is no greater rivalry than between two big universities in the same state. This Saturday is the MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY vs. the University of Michigan. The whole week before the game people are wearing their school’s colors. Those lucky enough to go to the game, decorate their vehicles for the trip to Ann Arbor where the game is this year. Football is King in Michigan this weekend.  An article in the paper said one man put off his surgery for a pacemaker until after the game as he was so worried something might happen in surgery to prevent him from seeing the game.

School colors immediately identify who’s who.

Blue and white colors do not belong to either university, but I love to add pictures of my grandchildren to a post.  He is offensive center and we almost pop with pride when we hear things like this come over the loudspeaker.
"Interception, tackle by Fruitport #17!!!!

Oma thinks he is really cute!!

Blue and corn are the colors of the University of Michigan.  They call it maize, we call it corn.  To see my Grandson in these colors is like a knife in my heart!

Now this is more like it!!!  Go Green!!!!!

Go White!!!!  MICHIGAN STATE fight, fight, fight.  "Go right through for MSU, Watch the points keep growing, Spartan teams are bound to win, they're fighting with a vim!"

For a green theme to a tailgate or football parties, check out these previous posts.

A very simple and very delectable version of P.F.Chang's Chicken in Lettuce Wraps.

Outrageously good Key Lime Bars.

Not a whole bunch of green, but a whole bunch of flavor in Spicy Linguine with Peanut Sauce.  Perfect for a tailgate or party!
