MUSKEGON ART SHOW

Every town along the Lake Michigan coast has at least one art/craft show every summer.  One of our favorites is the Summer Celebration in Muskegon Art Show.  The art part is located in a lovely shaded park.  The craft and food sections stretch out over 6 blocks.  We enjoyed ourselves so much we went two days in a row.

This pig is made by our favorite welder.  We have quite a few pieces of his work.

Ladda and her husband.  I am her oldest customer, no not in age!!  I have been buying earrings from her since the middle 1980's.  Every time I wear her designs I get compliments.

A lovely couple we met this year.  They use gorgeous stones in their silver jewelry.  He shared that his designs for his pieces come to him in dreams.

More new friends, Betsy is a very talented jewelry maker from Missouri.  We look forward to seeing them next year.  Her husband has on a fantastic picture jasper pendant she made.  Double click on picture for a better view.

There was Asian, Mexican, Greek, and BarBQue food available as well as the usual elephant ears.  We spent our money buying baked goods from a lovely lady who gives all her profits to her church.  She made a sweet potato pie to die for, and a peanut butter cake with peanut butter fudge frosting.  The cake will soon be on Michigan Cottage Cook.  She also made cinnamon rolls, cookies, quick breads and cobblers.  Hope she is at the show next year!!!
